Last Minute Solar Eclipse T-shirt Project

August 19, by Shellie Wilson. 1 Comment

It’s not too late to make a DIY Solar Eclipse T-shirt. What Solar Eclipse? the one that is all over the internet in a mammoth amount of hype.

This Solar Eclipse t-shirt tutorial is so easy you can literally make it in 10 mins.

This looks best on a black t-shirt but any dark color will work, just use what you have.

Start by cutting out a cardboard circle the size of the moon you would like on your t-shirt.

You will need red, orange, yellow and white Fabric paints. If you do not plan on washing this t-shirt (throwing it out after Monday) you can just use Acrylic paints.

Start by placing the cardboard circle on the centre of the shirt, then using a flat brush flick out the paint from the cardboard out all the way around the edges. Next do the same thing with the orange and then again with the yellow. The reason you use the dark colors first is that so they provide a base for the lighter color as you build it up.

Finally the white, for the white pain you can flick it out or run a thin line around the outside of the circle as shown in the photo.

That’s it! let it dry and you have an amazing Solar Eclipse DIY t-shirt.

Thanks to Kim for sharing her amazing photo.
